Overview
Scientific innovation is a key driver of prosperity for advanced economies. Yet New Zealand’s recent economic performance has been driven largely by a property boom, working more, increasing primary sector output prices, and tourism growth. Meanwhile the innovation ecosystem in New Zealand attracts some of the lowest investment levels from business in the OECD. This project assesses potential for improving economic performance through innovation.
