International report highlights the need to strengthen NZ’s global competitiveness

New Zealand’s global competitive position has declined over the past year according to the latest data from the World Economic Forum. The World Economic Forum’s 2007/08 Global Competitiveness Report, released today, ranks New Zealand 24th for competitiveness, down from 21st last year.
